PRIME, a vehicle-based integrated mobile communication system, is equipped with satellite, cellular, two-way radio, Wi-Fi, and drone technologies. Operating under the slogan “Connectivity Without Limits,” it provides interim communication support, enabling efficient rescue operations, aid management, and information dissemination in remote or network-disrupted areas, in collaboration with relevant agencies.

Designed for stable, flexible, and reliable connectivity, PRIME ensures effective communication during relief operations, particularly when existing terrestrial networks are compromised. The system also strengthens MCMC’s collaboration with strategic agencies, enhancing national communication resilience and response efficiency in crisis management.

Additionally, PRIME supports community outreach programs like the National Information Dissemination Centre (NADI), serving as a mobile digital hub to deliver internet services and community activities directly to targeted locations. This initiative fosters a more inclusive and responsive communication ecosystem, aligning with Malaysia’s MADANI aspirations for digital transformation.

The rollout begins with three PRIME units developed in phases. The first, launched today, will be stationed at MCMC’s headquarters to support operations in Peninsular Malaysia. Two additional units, slated for completion by the end of 2025, will be deployed to MCMC offices in Sabah and Sarawak.

The launch was attended by Ministry of Communications Secretary-General Datuk Mohamad Fauzi Md Isa and MCMC Executive Chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din.
